The artwork "Inquiry and Non-Inquiry" is a conceptual and allegorical reflection on my individual and artistic struggle with perfectionism and the convoluted dichotomy of the inner self versus the outwardly perceived self. To create this piece, I attempted to approach Mark Tansey’s emphasis on thematic allegory in artistic storytelling. The allegorical concept of this pastel implementation is the practice of embodying the notions of self-imposed high expectations and forced anxiety over assumed judgment.
